• MiTek adjustable steel support posts can support beams, with a maximum load of two wood-framed floors, where the length of joists carried by these beams does not exceed 16' and the live load on any floor does not exceed pitch 50 lbs / ft2 • Complies with par. 9.17.3.4.(1) of NBCC 2015 and CAN/CGSB-7.2-94 • Maximum support load: 8,000 lbs • Adjustable height of the support post: 3' to 5' • Included: (2) 11 gauge steel tubes with black primer, (1) adjustment screws, (2) support plates and (1) pin • Installation : • Fit the tubes and raise the upper tube to approximate height and insert the locking pin • Turn the endless screw to the desired height and fix the plate in position • Check that the runner and the bottom plate are well fixed to the supported elements of the beam and correctly aligned with the flange of the supported base. • Always ensure that the product is installed at 90º from the beam and the footing • Secure the supported beam to the top plate using two (2) 1/4'' x 2'' lag screws (screws not included)
